Privacy Policy

SheetSync exists to fill your Excel templates with new data. This policy covers the marketing site, the dashboard, and the underlying service at sheetsync.in. By using SheetSync, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you haven't already, it's worth reading this alongside our Terms of Service.

Account information. SheetSync accounts are created through Google Sign-In. We receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google — there's no separate SheetSync password to store.

Your files. The Excel templates you save and the data files you upload, so SheetSync can generate your finished file and so you can reuse saved templates and re-download past generations.

Usage information. Your plan, how many templates you've saved, and how many times you've generated a file, so we can show accurate limits and enforce your plan's allowances.

Support communications. Anything you send to support@sheetsync.app, so we can help you.

• Send essential account and service emails — never marketing spam

We do not use your templates or data files to train any AI model, ours or anyone else's — not now, and not later.

Column matching runs mostly on deterministic, rule-based code — exact header matches, known synonyms, reordered columns, and formula or serial columns are all resolved without any AI involved.

Only for the columns that logic can't confidently resolve does SheetSync request an AI opinion, and even then, what's sent is deliberately limited: column headers, and an abstract description of what a sample value looks like — for example "a date" or "10 digits" — never the value itself. No employee name, account number, or salary figure in your file is sent to the AI model.

We work with established AI infrastructure providers to power this step, and our agreements with them prohibit using data sent through the API to train their models.

Your account and usage records are stored with MongoDB Atlas. Your uploaded templates and generated files are stored with Cloudinary. Both are established infrastructure providers chosen for their security practices, and data is encrypted in transit.

We keep your saved templates and generated files until you delete them or delete your account. You can remove an individual template, remove a past generation, or delete your entire account and everything associated with it at any time from Settings.

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers. We share information only with the providers that make SheetSync work:

• Google, for sign-in
• MongoDB Atlas, for account and usage records
• Cloudinary, for template and file storage
• Our AI infrastructure provider, for the limited column-mapping requests described in Section 4

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of SheetSync or our users.

You can access, correct, or delete your account information and files at any time from Settings. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, or the California Consumer Privacy Act — including the right to request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it. Contact us at support@sheetsync.app to exercise these rights.

SheetSync uses a single session cookie to keep you signed in — that's it. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies, and there's no ad network on this site to share data with.

SheetSync isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

Our infrastructure providers operate data centers in multiple countries, so your information may be processed outside the country you live in. We work with providers that maintain appropriate safeguards for cross-border data transfer.

We may update this policy as SheetSync evolves. If we make a material change, we'll let you know before it takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
